Jay Adkins The NUA show
Every Saturday 8am to 10am
This is my personal statement about what I do.
I currently present a weekly unsigned music show - The NUA radio show (The new and unsigned artists show). It' self produced and broadcast on over 40 radio stations.
The show has won multiple awards (Dedication to music award 2019, Best Presenter COR Radio 2016, Best Presenter Box Radio 2017). My passion in finding and championing new artist has been in my blood from being sent a crop of UK based new acts to finding gems around the world there is nothing better in my mind and the variety it gives to daytime radio is wonderful and introducing family, friends and like minded music lovers is what I thrive upon.

The Blues Cafe
I live just north of London, UK and am a lifelong musician having picked up the guitar at 12 years old. I love all genre of music and have played in many different types of bands from blues to dance to jazz to folk. Still playing in bands and love every minute of it. I have a special love of the Blues and sharing that love with you on the radio is a real privilege. My love of all music comes across in my show at the ‘Joker in the Pack’ feature where I play a tune that is not necessarily Blues but one I really love.

Just Jazz
Steve’s career in the music industry started as a club DJ in 1980. However, by the end of the decade he had developed a passion for writing and began contributing music reviews to his local newspaper. He was soon taken on as a news reporter, and for a while he was a mild-mannered reporter during the day, and beat mixing club DJ by night.
“I like jazz because for the main part it is unpredictable, real instruments played by real musicians. I particularly enjoy listening to the piano and sax, and my interest ranges from old school boogie-woogie to smooth jazz.
Steve was born in the UK, lived in New Zealand for 22 years, and is now based in Melbourne, Australia.
Meet Our Presenters
Community radio stations rely on the commitment and passion of volunteers to keep them going, and our radio presenters are the backbone of our station. Our presenters come from all walks of life and backgrounds, but they share a common love for music and a desire to connect with their communities. Some are seasoned professionals with years of experience, while others are up-and-coming talent just starting out in their careers. Regardless of their background, our presenters bring their unique personalities, perspectives, and expertise to the airwaves, creating a diverse and engaging listening experience for our audience.
They are the ones who keep the conversation flowing, share local news and events, and of course, play the music that keeps our listeners coming back for more. With their unwavering dedication, passion, and enthusiasm, our presenters are the heart and soul of our community radio station, bringing people together and helping to build stronger, more connected communities.
